Leon Beyer Pinot Gris AOC Alsace 2019
Volume: 750ml
This bottle features a vivid and uncluttered aroma of woodland flowers, peach, almond, and pear. On the palate, it is round and harmonious, offering notes of woodland flowers, peach, and subtle almond. Rich and full-bodied with superb acidity and extended finish, this is an excellent example of Alsace Pinot Gris.
Offering alluring honey-coated lemongrass and spiced orchard fruit flavors, this is salty in profile, with a thread of green herbs and warm hay. Bottle age has brought nice concentration, with a vibrant beam of acidity still driving the energy. Savory and tangy, with mineral energy that stretches out. Shows good structure on the finish. Drink now through 2027. 20,000 cases made. – Wine Spectator 91 points
